This picture taken of Death Valley Ranch, commonly known as Scotty's Castle, on Route 267 near Grapevine, California. The Castle, built in 1920s, was a vacation get-away for Albert Mussey Johnson and his wife Bessie. It seems that Walter Scott, Death Valley Scotty, had a different idea, claiming it was he who had built the Castle with the monies from a secret mine. It seems the two were good friends and were constantly pulling pranks on one another.
