Mission San Miguel Archangel

This picture taken of the Spanish Church off Highway 101 in San Miguel, California.  The Mission was established on July 25, 1797 by the Franciscan order in part to evangelize the large number of Salinan Indians that inhabited the area.  The church was closed as a result of the 2003 San Simeon Earthquake but reopened in September of 2009 after restoration was complete.
