A Desert Day-Day 32

It was another very warm day today as the temperature was near 80F when I left Porterville.  It did reach 93F while traveling on Route 14 in the Indian Wells Valley.  One definitely needed to put down the liquids today.  Gasoline prices are just out of this world in California.  I drove by gas stations that displayed as much as $4.59/gallon for unleaded regular.  What is so odd about this, is that all along the route there is oil rig, wind mill, and solar energy companies. I know! I know! This does not mean a thing.
My plans for tomorrow include seeing as much of Death Valley National Park as I can.  The visitor guide identifies many unique areas to see.
Enjoy the weekend people!
