The temperature was already at 70F when I awoke this morning so I was not surprised that the high temperature for the day reached 98F. It was definitely an air conditioning day. I was happy that no gasoline had to be purchased today,either. It was a real nice drive from Fresno to San Simeon today. The Hearst Castle located on what is known as the Hilltop was quite an architectural feat for its day. It seemed that W.R.Hearst sparred no expense to build the Castle, however. I am thinking when Mike comes out we will revisit Route 1.
I am off to Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks tomorrow.
