Casa Grande

This picture taken of the Casa Grande or "The Big House" at the Hearst Castle.  This mansion was built over a twenty-six year period but never finished.  It was used as the center piece of the estate as guests gathered for meals and indoor entertainment.  Anyone of celebrity status were invited to stay at the Castle which includes Gable, Lombard and the likes.  One of the guides identified that its total cost was nine million, this being in the 20/30s time frame.
