Office Covered Bridge

This picture taken in Westfir, Oregon of the longest covered bridge in Oregon.  The Office Bridge as it is called crosses the North Fork Middle Fork Williamette River connecting the town of Westfir to what is now a small park on the North side.  The bridge was built in 1944 by the Westfir Lumber Company to carry logging and lumber trucks to the company Lumber Mill across the river.  The Mill burned down in the early 1980s and the bridge was closed to the public until 2003 when the Park was established.  It is also the only covered bridge west of the Mississippi River that has a separate pedestrian walkway.  I drove across the bridge to the Park to take this picture.
