Lake Tahoe at Memorial Point

This picture was taken near Memorial Point along Route 28 Nevada side.  I could not get over just how clear the water was in the Lake.  In some places, objects can be seen on the bottom in 75 feet of water.  The blue color comes from the sky reflecting the color like a big deep mirror.  The Lake never freezes in the winter as the water is in constant motion.  As the surface water approaches freezing temperatures, it sinks.  The warmer, lighter water then rises to the top, mixing with the colder sinking water.
