Shasta Day-Day 25

The morning temperature was a bit nippy at 44F today but no rain in the forecast.  The high temperature came at 73F when I arrived in Redding, California.  Yes folks I finally made California.  The ride down Route 97 from Klamath Falls, Oregon to Weeds, California was pretty impressive.  I would have to say though that the drive down Route 5 from Weeds to Redding, California was even more impressive as Mt Shasta and Shasta Lake was in its path.  Gasoline purchased today was at $3.999/gallon but the less than $4/gallon may be coming to an end for awhile though.  If one remembers it was California that had the highest gasoline prices on the past trip out here.  This was a very good day even with the snow squalls and cooler temperatures for most of the trip.  Where ever one looks nature's beauty is on display.  Tomorrow the plan is to go more inland and visit the Lassen Volcanic National Park and head a bit more South.
Everyone enjoy there weekend!
